The program leaves Lyoko after sanitizing it of the virus, before moving onto the network to destroy all of the Replikas.
The Anti-X.A.N.A. Program is a multi-agent system created by Jeremie Belpois with the sole purpose of destroying X.A.N.A.
Purpose[]
The program's purpose as a multi-agent system is designed to counter and match X.A.N.A.'s power due to the fact that only a program as equally sophisticated as X.A.N.A. could ever threaten it. It is also poetically ironic due to X.A.N.A. itself also being a multi-agent system, which worried Aelita due to believing that the program itself could turn out as bad as X.A.N.A. if something went wrong with it, such as his previous failure with the Marabounta, despite the latter not being a true multi-agent system.
Regardless, Jeremie decided that destroying each of X.A.N.A.'s replikas one at a time was insufficient due to the hostile program having infected hundreds of supercomputers around the world and that it would take years to destroy them all and due to X.A.N.A. becoming more aggressive in its plans of eliminating its threats to ensure its survival.
The program would complete its directive of destroying X.A.N.A. by eliminating every single Replika that X.A.N.A. created in order to ensure it no longer had a supercomputer to inhabit, as without at least one virtual world to house the virus-like program, it would be unable to survive within the ravages of the Digital Sea and thus, would ultimately be deleted. As the multi-agent system scoured across the Internet and destroyed every Replika in rapid succession, X.A.N.A. itself began to manifest it's true self as a massive specter that wailed in agony due to it being simultaneously destroyed in all Supercomputers around the world before finally evaporating as the last of its presence was erased from both the virtual and real world, leaving nothing left of its existence.
Specifications[]
In order to destroy a program as powerful as XANA, the Anti-X.A.N.A. program required setting up in Sector Five's interface and demanded very high energy requirements, far more than what the Supercomputer could normally provide. When Aelita first tried to activate the program in Fight to the Finish, it failed due to a lack of energy. Franz Hopper chose to let the Mantas kill him so that his life energy could allow the program to become operational, so long as it meant he could take X.A.N.A. with him.
Upon doing so, the program manifested from the Core of Lyoko as a swarm of glowing, white spheres all moving around similarly to a swarm of insects that emerge from the south pole and exterminated all manifestations of X.A.N.A. that it comes across, such as its Monsters, before leaving Sector Five and scouring each of the four surface sectors in order to sanitize the digital world of X.A.N.A.'s presence to expel it from Lyoko and prevent it from returning to save itself. From there, the program would leave Lyoko and enter the Digital Sea where it would track down each of the Replikas and destroy them all until none remained, ensuring X.A.N.A. would have no Supercomputer to inhabit and leave it at the mercy of the Digital Sea where its code would be completely and utterly deleted by the network's immeasurable tides of information.
