Boulogne-Billancourt (often colloquially called simply Boulogne or Boulbi) is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.2 km from the center of Paris and is on the course of the Seine River. It is the most populated suburb in France and was also formerly an important industrial site, which would explain why the Factory was built.

Boulogne-Billancourt is a sous-préfecture of the Hauts-de-Seine département, being the seat of the Arrondissement of Boulogne-Billancourt.

Description[]

Boulogne-Billancourt is home to many things, one being the Factory, which houses the Supercomputer, the Scanners, and Lyoko. It is also home to Kadic Academy, where the Lyoko Warriors board. It is also home to the Ishiyama family.

It is a real city, outside of the Code Lyoko franchise. It was also the location of the abandoned Renault auto factory, which Code Lyoko's Factory was modeled after, although the original factory no longer exists. It is not the home of the school Kadic is modeled after (Lycée Lakanal), as that school is actually located several kilometers to the southeast. However, the school in Code Lyoko is within walking distance of the Factory.

TF1 is headquartered in this part of the city, and the building can actually be seen in the background shots of certain episodes.
